The second day, Marek took us to more galleries and sights, including the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum, where we saw work by Joseph Beuys, Andy Warhol, Rauschenberg, Cy Twombly, and Anselm Kieffer. Also, we did a bicycle tour through the city, visiting the Nokia centre, the Brandenburg gate, the Reichstag, Checkpoint Charlie, parts of the Wall, and the Holocaust Memorial.
We bought art supplies for our time in Ptuj, getting canvas from Oliver Lindemann (who is pictured and whose website can be found at www.naturstoffe-lindemann.de), and paints from other shops. We then visited Marek's studio and saw some of what he's working on.
